Our school counselors do an amazing job getting in to the classrooms for lessons over various SEL topics. School and home connection is very important in helping children develop their social/emotional learning. Each month the newsletter features the SEL topic of the month and a brief description with how it is being covered at school. As parents, taking the opportunity to talk with your child at home about the topic is beneficial so the newsletter provides talking points to start the conversations. Last, children need to practice the skills learned, so there is an activity to do as a family to practice the SEL topic learned for that specific month. We are so happy that we can help foster a collaborative approach between home and school to help the social/emotional learning of our students.
