STREAM Night

Students and Families had a fun night filled with participating in activities involving science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math. All activities were hands-on and allowed families to work together through challenges and creativity. One of the stations included a space scavenger hunt in which the activity used an app called Sky View Lite. This allows you to locate stars, planets, and even the international space station. Another station had an area to build and create with legos. Using paint markers, families were able to do abstract painting on a big pieces of butcher paper to create a work of art. There was also an activity using measurement and racing to see how far a grasshopper could jump or racing to the finish line. CE was also lucky to have the Mo Bus come in order for our families to take home so books to add to their home libraries. Winners of the bubble gum estimation jar were Addisyn and the M&M estimation jar was Sebastian. Both of these students had the closest guess to the actual number of pieces in each jar. Addisyn and Sebastian were so excited to be able to take home the big jar of bubble gum and M&M’s. It was a fun night of learning and exploring!
