Hello CE Families,
I am so excited to start the new 21-22 school year with your students. My name is Michelle Stapp and I am the principal at CE.
Our teachers have worked hard the last few weeks preparing to welcome each of you to our new school year starting tomorrow, August 11th.School begins at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast in the classroom.The first bell rings at 7:50 a.m. and class starts at 8:00 a.m.If your student arrives after 8:00 a.m., they will be considered tardy. Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 5th grade (and siblings) may be dropped in the curbside lane at the front of the school.1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th will be dropped off in the back parking lot off of Ohio Garden Rd by our gym.We ask that students are ready to get out of the car at the appropriate cones and drop off to help keep traffic flowing.
We will dismiss each day starting at 3:35 p.m.Please ensure your students have their dismissal tag on their backpacks as this is used for student safety.For car pickup in the front of the building, we encourage families to use the curbside lane if you have young students as this will also help with safety.
You may walk your student in to their classroom ONLY on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 11th. After Wednesday, our staff will be available to help get students to the appropriate homerooms.
If your student is celebrating a birthday, you may drop off cupcakes or individually wrapped items at the front office to be handed out by the classroom teachers at the end of the day.
We are excited to announce that Friday, August 27th will be our first family Friday for parents to eat lunch with students at their designated lunch times. After August 27th, each Friday will be the day you are able to eat with your student(s). You will check in at the front office and receive a visitor badge. We will be communicating in the next week our procedures and policies for this.
I encourage you to stay connected to our CISD and CE websites, Facebook, and Twitter for up to date and accurate information. This year you will continue to have access to your child's daily class instruction via Canvas. The 2021-22 school year entry plan is posted on our web page and on Facebook with important information.
Also, please send water bottles with students.We have water filters in each classroom and students can refill bottles.This is important as we have PE and recess when temperatures are higher. If possible, please label the water bottles with your child’s name.
Finally, please look at our district website for information on dress code, school supplies, and other various information.

Hola familias de CE,
Estoy muy emocionado de comenzar el nuevo año escolar 21-22 con sus estudiantes. Mi nombre es Michelle Stapp y soy la directora de CE.
Nuestros maestros han trabajado duro las últimas semanas preparándose para darles la bienvenida a cada uno de ustedes a nuestro nuevo año escolar que comienza mañana, 11 de agosto. La escuela comienza a las 7:30 a.m. con desayuno en el aula. La primera campana suena a las 7:50 a.m. y la clase comienza a las 8:00 a.m. Si su estudiante llega después de las 8:00 a.m., se considerará tarde. Los niños de prejardín de infantes, jardín de infantes y quinto grado (y hermanos) pueden dejarse en el carril de la acera al frente de la escuela. Primero, segundo, tercero y cuarto se dejarán en el estacionamiento trasero de Ohio Garden Rd junto a nuestro gimnasio. Les pedimos a los estudiantes que estén listos para salir del automóvil en los conos apropiados y dejarlos para ayudar a que el tráfico fluya.

Nos complace anunciar que el viernes 27 de agosto será nuestro primer viernes familiar para que los padres almuercen con los estudiantes en sus horarios designados para el almuerzo. Después del 27 de agosto, cada viernes será el día en que podrá comer con su (s) estudiante (s). Se registrará en la oficina principal y recibirá una credencial de visitante. Estaremos comunicando en la próxima semana nuestros procedimientos y políticas para esto.
Los animo a mantenerse conectados a nuestros sitios web y redes sociales de CISD y CE para obtener información actualizada y precisa. Este año continuará teniendo acceso a la instrucción diaria de la clase de su hijo a través de Canvas. El plan de ingreso al año escolar 2021-22 está publicado en nuestra página web y en Facebook con información importante.
Además, envíe botellas de agua con los estudiantes. Tenemos filtros de agua en cada salón y los estudiantes pueden rellenar botellas. Esto es importante ya que tenemos PE y recreo cuando las temperaturas son más altas. Si es posible, etiquete las botellas de agua con el nombre de su hijo.
