Michele McPherson, M. Ed.
Michele McPherson, M. Ed., serves as one of the School Counselors at Castleberry Elementary, where she currently supports students in pre-K, kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grades. As a lifelong member of the Castleberry ISD community, Michele is a proud graduate of Castleberry High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Texas A&M University and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Development at the University of North Texas.
Michele began her career in education by teaching 5th grade at Joy James Elementary for four years. Afterward, she transitioned to her role as a School Counselor, where she has faithfully served the students, families, and staff at Castleberry Elementary for 19 years. In addition to her counseling role, Michele has gained valuable experience as an In-Home Trainer for children with Autism, a Dyslexia Testing Coordinator, a GT Facilitator, and a Qualified Mental Health Professional at All Church Home.
Michele considers it a true blessing to be part of the Castleberry Elementary community, where she is dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for all.

Lael Warden, M. Ed.
Lael Warden, M. Ed., is one of the School Counselors at Castleberry Elementary, where she currently supports students in PreK, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grades. This is her fifth year serving as a counselor at Castleberry Elementary. Before transitioning to her current role, Lael spent four years as the girl's athletic coordinator and coach at IMMS.
Lael earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina and went on to obtain her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lamar University. With 14 years of experience as a PE teacher and coach, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role as a counselor.
Lael feels truly blessed to be part of the Castleberry Elementary and Castleberry ISD community, where she is dedicated to supporting the students, families, and staff.
