New Goals for the New Year

We have hit the ground running since beginning the new semester.  We all have new goals with the beginning of a new year; however, our mission is still the same for Castleberry Elementary: Every Student. Every Day.

Some exciting things have happened at CE.  We hosted our spelling bee last week with a winner from our 5th grade bilingual class.  This student will be representing CE in the coming weeks at the regional spelling bee.  We also had our first annual Daddy/Daughter Sock Hope this past Friday night.  It was amazing night of laughs, fun, and sweet memories being made.  We do have benchmarks coming up in February and keep a look out for a date for our upcoming STREAM night.

I have given all the staff and students a reading challenge for this semester.  I have challenged everyone to read 14 books by May 18th.  Teachers will be keeping track of student progress over the next few months.  Our School Board President, Mr. Holder, has also gladly accepted the challenge.  We hope you will too!
