The Castleberry Cares Health and Community Resource Fair is a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT open to everyone within the surrounding Castleberry ISD community, and will feature activities, information and resources for adults and children. 
Samurai Santa
Samurai Santa is one of the most popular books in the Castleberry Library’s collection. This book is so popular and is a favorite of student of all ages. On World Read Aloud Day 3rd grade and 1st grade students were thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in a Google Hangout with author Rubin Pingk. 
Bluebonnet Book Party
The Bluebonnet Voting Party was held on Friday, February 17th. Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th were challenged to read 5 or more books from this year’s Bluebonnet list. Students from all over Texas vote on these books.  
CISD Dual Language Reading Bee
Castleberry Elementary is proud to announce the first place winner of the CISD Dual Language Enrichment (DLE) Reading Bee, Adan R. from Mr. Remis’s class. 
5th Grade Genre Study
5th grade students connected their genre study of historical fiction with the Bluebonnet book A Fine Dessert. 
4th Grade Indian Project
Ms.Hendrix, Ms.York and Ms.Sanders brought their classes into the library to do an Indian project on all the different types of Indian tribes.

The First Six Weeks Was a Success
Can you believe this is the beginning of the second six weeks of school? Last week, students worked very hard on their Curriculum Based Assessments. Report cards will be issued soon. As always, feel free to contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns. We are here to help your student achieve success.

I am excited to announce some of the classes your kids are involved in this school year. Students are creating items in Creation Station and MakerSpace, learning to code in computer science, and improving their reading skills in Achieve3000.
